Konstruktivisten

This poster is an exact letterpress facsimile of Jan Tschichold’s legendary konstruktivisten poster for Kunsthalle Basel from 1937. It was created to coincide with the Jan Tschichold: Shaping Typography exhibition held in London in 2025. The exhibit was curated by Paul Barnes (of Commercial Type) and Fraser Muggeridge.

It was meticulously handset as the original, using Berthold’s iconic Akzidenz-Grotesk, 24-cicero rules, and a linocut circle. It was by the wonderful Dafi Kühne at his press in Switzerland, assisted by Fraser Muggeridge and Sabrina Öttl.
